Num 22:1-7 “And the children of Israel set forward, and pitched in the plains of Moab on this side Jordan by Jericho. (2) And Balak the son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites. (3) And Moab was sore afraid of the people, because they were many: and Moab was distressed because of the children of Israel. (4) And Moab said unto the elders of Midian, Now shall this company lick up all that are round about us, as the ox licketh up the grass of the field. And Balak the son of Zippor was king of the Moabites at that time. (5) He sent messengers therefore unto Balaam the son of Beor to Pethor, which is by the river of the land of the children of his people, to call him, saying, Behold, there is a people come out from Egypt: behold, they cover the face of the earth, and they abide over against me: (6) Come now therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: peradventure I shall prevail, that we may smite them, and that I may drive them out of the land: for I wot that he whom thou blessest is blessed, and he whom thou cursest is cursed. (7) And the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian departed with the rewards of divination in their hand; and they came unto Balaam, and spake unto him the words of Balak.”
So many people worry about things when they hear of cults going into fasting periods or the season for specific rituals which are at hand, but they forget that the enemy is more afraid of you when you are a child of God, than what you need to be of him.
Why? Because satan knows exactly who belongs to him and who belongs to YHVH.
When you are a true child of God, you need not to fear, but when you are religious at heart and entertain sin of whatever kind, or live in un-forgiveness, and such things, yes, then you need to be weary of the enemy, as he will destroy such people.
Balak knew that those on their way to his country, was people who rule as God, because God prevails through them. He knew that what they did they did not do in their own strength but in the power and authority of YHVH. The enemy knows exactly what is in your life, whether you have the power and authority of YHVH or whether you have things in your life which look like him, which therefore disable’s you to stand your ground against his onslaughts.
So off Balak’s people went to Balaam to find out if he would be so kind as to curse the Israelite’s. We too face people or organizations who want to go the same route as Balak, because of their fear of your authority in the LORD, but the one fearing is not really those individuals themselves, but the unseen forces behind them.
We do not need to fear the enemy with all his cohorts. We are more than conquerors, through Christ Jesus. The Word is clear that our enemy is not flesh and blood but Eph 6:12 says “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
Those who allow to be used by satan is part of his kingdom and his “soldiers” if I may put it that way. They are merely the instruments through which satan work, because they have given him the right to work through them, but look at what Pro 26:2 says “As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.”
In other words, when we are in right standing with the LORD, we do not need to fear the enemy! Make sure your doors are closed to the enemy in every area of your life, and you need not fear the enemy, but he will fear you as a force to be reckoned with – a soldier for YHVH.
